1.6 Praise to Parasara muni

Sloka 6

पराशर मुनीशितुः प्रणतिकर्म कुर्मस्तरां

अहीन गुण शोभितैः अमृत साधनोत्कण्ठिभिः

यदीय कृति सिन्धुना विमथि तेन यत्नात् बुधैः

प्रकाशमिह नीयते परम पूरुष प्रेयसी। 

parāśara munīśituḥ praṇatikarma kurmastarāṁ

ahīna guṇa śobhitaiḥ amṛta sādhanotkaṇṭhibhiḥ

yadīya kṛti sindhunā vimathi tena yatnāt budhaiḥ

prakāśamiha nīyate parama pūruṣa preyasī|

பராஶர முநீஶிது: ப்ரணதிகர்ம  குர்மஸ்தராம்

அஹீந கு₃ண ஶோபி₄தைஹி  அம்ருத சாது₄நோத்கண்டி₂பி₄:

யதீ₃ய க்ருதி சிந்து₄னா விமதி₂ தேன யத்னாத்பு₃தை₄:

ப்ரகாஶமிஹ நீயதே பரம பூருஷ ப்ரேயேஸீ

Meaning:  Let us circumambulate and salute that Parasara muni whose composition, the ocean, brought to light the glory of the beloved of the Supreme Purusha who was revealed by those (1) interested in nectar, through churning the ocean with the beautiful snake (2) great souls with supreme qualities who were interested in ascending through the supreme sadhana.

அமிர்தத்தை விரும்பியவர்கள் பாம்பைக் கொண்டு கடலைக் கடைந்தபோது வெளிப்பட்ட பரமபுருஷனின் மனத்துக்கினயவளின் குணத்தை (2) பரமானந்தத்தை விரும்பிய ஒப்பில்லாத குணங்களைக் கொண்டவர்களால் வெளிக்கொணரப்பட்ட பரம்புருஷனின் மனத்துக்கினியவளின் புகழைப் உலகுக்கு (தனது விஷ்ணுபுரானத்தின் மூலம்) எடுத்துரைத்த அந்த பராசர முனிவரைப் பிரதட்சிணம் செய்து வணங்குவோமாக.
