2.22. Your locus and that of the moon are fitting with the place of your emergence

Sloka 22

द्युनदीशिशिरं शिरः पुरारेः

भजतीन्दुर्भवती दयारसार्द्रम्

हृदयं मुरहर्तुरब्धिजे वां

उचितैव स्थितिरुद्भवानुरूपा

dyunadīśiśiraṁ śiraḥ purāreḥ

bhajatīndurbhavatī dayārasārdram

hṛdayaṁ muraharturabdhije vāṁ

ucitaiva sthitirudbhavānurūūpā

த்₃யுநதீ₃ஶிஶிரம் ஶிர: புராரே:

ப₄ஜதீந்து₃பவதீ த₃யாரஸார்த்₃ரம்

ஹ்ருத₃யம் புரஹர்துரப்₃தி₄ஜே வாம்

உசிதைவ ஸ்தி₂திருத்₃ப₄வானுரூபா

Commentary:

Daughter of the Ocean! The moon reaches Siva’s head which is cooled by the sacred river Ganga.  You reached chest of the vanquisher of Mura that is cooled by the sacred waters of mercy.  Both your loci are fitting with the nature of your place of emergence.  

கடலிலிருந்து தோன்றியவளே! சந்திரன், தேவநதி கங்கையால் குளிர்விக்கப்பட்ட சிவனின் தலையை அடைந்தான்.  நீயும் தயை என்ற நீரால் குளிர்விக்கப்பட்ட முரனைக் கொன்றவனின் மார்பை அடைந்தாய். உங்கள் இருவரது பிறப்பிடத்தின் தன்மைக்கு உகந்ததாக அது இருக்கின்றது.
